Raggedy

Dolls
of the past
Volland Raggedy Ann
This is one of the first Raggedy Anns
made.
I think this doll was made around
1918-1919. She
has a hand painted face and is 17 inches
tall.
Her hands are crude and she has fine
worsted hair.
I wonder what stories she could tell?

This is such a sweet Raggedy Ann. For
her age,
she is so well kept. It looks as though
she is waiting for the
sitter to come and give her tea.

This Raggedy has gotten a nice tan
in the warm
winds of Wyoming. She really looks
as though
she is waiting for permission to go
back outside.

This Raggedy loves the song "London
Bridge is falling Down".
You would think she would grow tired
of it, but she hasn't.
When you go to Grandma's house, don't
forget to ask if you can take a
peek in the old trunk in the attic.
You may just find your old Raggedy Ann
waiting for you there.

MOON RIVER
Moon river, wider than a mile:
I'm crossin' you in style someday.
Old dream maker, you heartbreaker,
Wherever you're goin", I'm goin' your
way.
Two drifters, off to see the world.
There's such a lot of world to see.
We're after the same rainbow's end,
Waitin' round the bend, My huckleberry
friend,
Moon River and me.
